He doesnt have prices posted on his bikes for sale but he has been consistent with his prices and I like his laizey faire style.
I didn't raise my voice or use harsh language, but I was persistent. He became very flustered. He cursed at me and eventually became physically aggressive enough that I had to leave the shop before our business was concluded.
When he went looking in the back he didn't even know where the rim was located. Eventually he found it.
I would buy a new bike from him.
I love supporting small business, so this situation is mostly, and maybe entirely, sad. Hopefully he changes his tune sometime very soon, but until then I recommend you use one of the other bike shops in the Greenville area. There are at least 6.
So my friend gave him his name and number and got a receipt. Several weeks later we still had not heard from him. I was also wondering why a tube you could get at Walmart for less than $5 was costing my friend $15. I was starting to think he had initially just spit out numbers. He definitely didn't show us any prices that were written down anywhere.
We got to the shop just after we ate lunch at the Swamp Rabbit CAFE. We lucked out they had 2 bikes left! We rented for 2 hours and with our kids was more than enough. They aired up the tires and made sure our seats were a good height. They even talked to us about recommendations of bikes we could get in the future at their shop for a great deal. I appreciated this place and we will definteily use again! Boys got to get helmets for free.
A little less than a month ago, a friend and I went in to get a front rim fixed and to get a new tube. He said he could do it. It was $30 for the rim and $15 for the tube. He said he could have it in a few days, maybe one day.
Yesterday, my friend and I went in. I asked right away for a price listing for services available. He wouldn't show me or my friend. I then proceeded to tell him about the order while my friend produced the receipt. He wouldn't give an answer when I asked, several times, why he charged so much for the tire.
Zack was amazing. We chose a tandem bike for riding. Will be back to rid this summer.
I broke my shifter while riding on the Swamp Rabbit Trial this past Memorial Day Weekend, and I stopped in the SRT bike Shop looking to get it fixed. The place was super-busy with customers looking to rent bikes, but the owner was very helpful anyway. He found the part I needed to fix my shifter, and even helped with the repair. In 30 minutes, I was back on the trail enjoying the day. I would definitely give him my business just due to his kindness and helpfulness.
I have been by there a half a dozen times . He rented me two different bicycles which were fine. He's nice to everyone and hasn't charged me for minor repairs yet. I bought a pair of sunglasses for 10 bucks that are great.
Unprofessional, dishonest, and disorganized.
