As a veterinarian myself, I was so happy to find Crosswinds to take care of my own 4 dogs who are like my children. Dr. Hait performs thorough exams and also radiates compassion, which is important to me. Dr. Powell also took the time to call me about a question I had, and the staff are such nice and knowledgeable techs. My nutty dogs also seemed less anxious here than at any other vets we have ever been to. The atmosphere is so warm and there is so much beautiful natural light that soothes animals. I also love that they have a close working relationship with Upstate Veterinary Specialists, who have also provided top-notch care to all 4 of my dogs. I’m so glad to have found Crosswinds because I know my babies are in good hands.
Crosswinds is incredible. Just left our first appointment and had to leave a review. The kindest, least pushy staff I’ve ever experienced at a vet. Dr. Powell and Crystal spent a long while with my dog getting to know her and making her comfortable (cheese whiz for the win!). Didn’t push unnecessary products or procedures and provided samples. They literally get down on the floor with your animal and fawn over them. Can’t say enough good things!
I took my two pups in and was so impressed with the staff and care. Dr. Suzie Powell and Anna Miller were knowledgeable, patient, affectionate, and genuine in their approach to my pets and to me. I have been to many vet clinics in this area over the years. I have to say, this will be the one I go to from now on. It is great to find such an outstanding facility and staff.
The office itself is full of actual furniture and doesn't have a clinical feel at all. Dr. Hait plopped right on the floor to examine Nina and it was clear how much she truly cared. Best of all, she kept an open line of communication and we never felt like we didn't know what was going on. She even called this morning to check on Nina and make sure that she had improved.
This place is everything that all of the reviews say it is. Our 6-month-old kitten became suddenly ill last week. After doing a quick Google search and seeing the positive reviews, we went right to Crosswinds first thing in the morning, without an appointment. They were able to see us right away and worked with us on the best plan of action. We're on a tight budget, and they didn't insist on expensive treatments or a whole gamut of tests right away. We discussed options, pros/cons, and costs, and developed a plan. All in all, we had two office visits, two different antibiotics, blood work, and special food, and the costs were VERY reasonable.
Absolutely love these guys! They really care about your pets and treat them like their own. After a surgery, one of our dogs was scared and nervous so one of the vet techs laid in the floor next to our dog to make sure he felt safe. This is the BEST vet in South Carolina as far as I'm concerned.
