I just had a 90 minute massage on 5/12/17. This is a fantastic, clean and modern facility, and my massage therapist Tesla was very friendly, and very skilled. She used a technique on my neck that I hadn't experienced before, and it was very effective. I have been to many spas around the world, and was very pleased with this experience.
Love this place. Atmosphere is delightful!
First visit to Massage Envy. Staff is welcoming and pleasant, helpful if not a bit trained to sell. Not the therapist, but the desk staff. There's a clear difference between a day spa massage and a chain that specializes in "packages" that leaves me a bit underwhelmed. I've been to Urban Nirvana and while they're more expensive, the experience is more geared toward overall relaxation. My therapist at ME, Azia, was incredibly sweet and I did leave somewhat relaxed but more my goal was pain relief for which I feel some. The rooms are clean. The therapist is careful with draping (if you're the modest sort) and for the price you could do a lot worse. Introductory pricing at Massage Envy is $55/hr of which 50 minutes is spent hands-on and about 10 minutes of consultation. "Memberships" are offered for I believe $65/mo which entitles you to your choice of either massage or facial and more than once a month gets you the "member" rate of perhaps $45 per hour (please verify with Massage Envy as I'm going from memory), which is a great deal for frequent visitors. I've had massages go for upwards of $85-$95/hr. Overall, not bad but the whole "If you join today we'll waive the membership application fee" thing leaves a little bit of a bad taste. I feel like if ME's goal is to obtain regular customers and to become a membership service, any time you want to sign up after your introductory massage should be without a sign-on fee. Perhaps I misunderstood, but the last thing I really want to do is be pitched after relaxing for an hour.
This place is great. I got my first massage there on Saturday and signed up for a yearly program. Later that week I decided for personal reasons that the yearly program wasn't going to work for me and I called back and they were very understanding and helpful and helped me to resolve the problem. My therapist Patrick was absolutely great! He made me feel comfortable when I was anxious about my first massage. He made sure to ask questions to make sure it was what I needed. Slight recommendation to anyone going though is to start with light to medium pressure! :)
Rating massage locations is difficult because each person is going in needing different accomadations. They are new, therefore the staff is also new and not fully updated. I've had some subpar massages, you just have to be very descriptive as to what you want done
