The trails are nice for walking or running. The city spends a large amount of resources on keeping the park nice so the grass is always well kept and there is little sign of trash. The city police do a terrific job of patrolling the area. The only negatives are lack of parking during heavy use times and a lack of public restrooms. If you park at shelter 5, do so at your own risk. Park near the zoo if you are able to do so. Your car will thank you.
I enjoyed my stay. Every better place if you have kids. I would recommend this place to a friend ..
The playground is good, but dangerous! Someone I know fell and got stiches! If you go, it would be best to have parental supervision.
Nice park outside of the Greenville Zoo. Has covered play areas with lots of options for independent play. Access to covered picnic areas, Walking trails, volleyball net, exercise areas. Good area for walking dogs, access to swamp rabbit trail. The best of Greenville, SC parks!
Convenient location next to the Greenville Zoo. Plenty to do here whether you are into walking along the Reedy River, just relaxing or having a picnic at one of the many areas this is a great park. They have a very large and amazing play area for kids of all ages with some really cool thing to play on not seen at other parks I've been to. Parking can get a little crazy on the weekends but there is no charge to park so it's a great way to spend some time without spending a penny.
