Fantastic location! We love Greenville and this hotel sits on the river in the heart of downtown. Great breakfast. Great pool. Beautiful modern interior. Family friendly but definitely great for business travel too. We will make this hotel our regular when we travel to Greenville.
It's a beautiful hotel. I went to the desk about 45 minutes before check in. They said that they could accommodate me at that time. I told the clerk that I had a special request for a room upgrade. He had one available but housekeeping was working on it. I told him that I could wait. I went for a walk down to the river. I returned almost an hour after check in and I was told that maintenance had in issue that they were working on in there. The clerk gave me a voucher for a free drink and appetizer at the roof top bar. They said they would call when the room was ready. I took some pictures and enjoyed my freebies on the roof. I came down a while later and inquired about my room (they forgot to notify me that it was ready). The next morning I decided to go to the pool. The heater was broken and had been for a while according to other reviews. I guess they don't feel that many people would use it in the winter. But it is enclosed in a heated room. That is the only fault that I found with the hotel. They have a professional staff (as long as they remember to call).
Much fancier hotel than I normally stay in, so bear that in mind for this review. Building is new and modern, obvious from even the parking garage (whose exit sign instead says "goodbye.") The suite was very clean. Had a few issues with keycards in the elevator- you have to swipe your card in order to have access to your floor. There's some technique to it so it was a little frustrating. Free breakfast was great- full made to order omelets and various other fare. I didn't make use of basically any of their extra services, but they seem to offer a lot. One nice thing they did was provide two pairs of eclipse glasses for us! We already had bought some, but it was a great gesture. The sheet left with the glasses had the standard issue "don't look at the sun" warnings. The room was overlooking a nice mural on the rooftop, and consequently was a bit too loud to spend time on the balcony from the roof noises (vents, I think.) Overall a great stay and a definite step up from my normal inclination to hostels and motels.
Attended an event in the ballroom of the hotel. The room setup was beautiful, and the food was delicious! Staff was very hospitable, and valet was quick and easy. Beautiful location and views of the river and surrounding mountains!
This is a beautiful hotel! The staff is very friendly and check in was a breeze. The free drinks before dinner are great and the rooftop bar is perfect to finish the night! The rooms are very clean and well appointed. Breakfast overlooking the window was very nice and tasted great. The only real setback is the workout space is very smile and doesn't have any machines for weights/resistance training. Would stay again.
