I am very much perplexed by the vote to not allow the voters to decide on a refeferendum to allow alcohol sales on Sundays. This hurts many businesses when business is needed the most and does not create a problem that some predict.
The voters should decide this issue not a panel who feels it "knows better" than the people. This sounds like the kind of socialistic attempts being attempted by the US Congress!
Another look and vote should be taken. Those who think they are doing good by forcing everyone to practice what they believe about anything from a religious perspective which is what this is based on is an arrogant attempt to say they know what is best for all when good Christian people can make their own choices based on their own convictions. This is why more than one denomination of faith exists in the first place.
To Whom it may Concern:
To have this allowed by a few deciding for the people instead of letting them decide is tyrranical and fails to take into account that Christianity is based on persuading through voluntary means others to follow the faith, not forcing them by laws which dictate how others are to believe and live according to the views of a few. THE PEOPLE SHOULD BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES RATHER THAN A SINGLE BODY AND, IN THIS CASE A SINGLE VOTE, WHICH MADE A PRIMITIVE DIFFEENCE IN THE FREEDOMS THAT ARE AT THE OPTION OF THOSE WHO ARE GOVERNED, NOT RULE OF , BY AND FOR GOVERNMENT!
For one person to make the difference in this referencum being allowed is rediculous.

Blue laws, which is what this is based on, at least the force behind this action are the most arrogant attempt by a few to decide what is best for everyone and is forcing their convictions on some who may have different convicitons. This seems to violate separation of church and state.
