I recently helped a friend who lost her husband in a traffic accident. Palmetto Mortuary was wonderful. They had a fixed written price for the services they provided. They easily had opportunities to raise their price based on some additional work we requested from them. However, they kept their price per their original quote.
The guys at Palmetto Mortuary are outstanding. My father-in-law died from cancer and I was tasked with making funeral arrangements. His desire was to be cremated and they walked me through the process in less than 15 minutes. They answered every question I had and were very respectful. They even let me take paperwork home for my mother-in-law to sign, so she didn't have to leave the house. For those interested in cremation, their turn-around time was one day. The other cremation company I called in town said it would take at least 5 days. And their price was so much better than competitors. They charged us less than 1/4 the cost I was quoted when I called a 'big name' funeral home in Greenville. Palmetto Mortuary keeps their costs low and don't overcharge for their services. I highly recommend them and am grateful they are taking care of my family's needs during this difficult time.
As many people know, losing a loved one is not an easy process and unfortunately a process that many of us don't fully plan for. That was the case with us. Luckily we were able to ask around and were given the name of The Palmetto Mortuary from a local minister. Being cost minded and knowing that I needed to satisfy many family expectations, I did my homework. I first called the Big 3 in town and then decided to give Palmetto a call too. Best decision I made. I was almost taken back by how easy the process was and how the price point was much, much more reasonable than any other mortuaries I had called previously that day. So I asked more questions. They clearly answered all of them with patience and a positive attitude. Even when I was off the phone and needed a review, their staff emailed me back within the hour to put my worries at ease. Their professionalism sold me and once my husband and I went to meet them in person, I felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my family's shoulders. This was the mortuary we were going with. Mike, Thomas and the whole staff were unbelievably receptive. The process was seamless and I was also struck by their sincerity. We felt completely comfortable with the team and we knew our loved one would be well cared for and the funeral would be stress free. There are little words I can say to express how much you helped our family. The warmth, care and insurance that our loved one would be taken care of to the best standards and humanity, without feeling stressed about anything, is priceless. They were very flexible and discrete in accomodating specific requests of the family. The accident occurred out of state and they handled all of the logistics prior to the funeral and also after the funeral in obtaining death certificates and keeping us informed of the progress. I highly recommend Tom and his staff.
