When my father actually passed away, they called me to accept full payment but wouldn’t answer or return any of my subsequent calls to ask if my father’s ashes were ready to collect. Twice my calls were sent during normal business hours to their after hours phone service.
My friends relayed to me that their removal service was very professional.
When a loved one passes away you want to deal with people who are professional, competent, and sympathetic. They did fulfill their obligation but without professionalism, competency, or sympathy.
If there was an option to select zero stars or grade them on the A to F scale, I'd give them an F-. Words cannot describe the lack of respect my family experienced dealing with this company at the absolute worst time in our lives. Jokes, in very poor taste, during our initial consultation was just the tip of the ice berg. Unbelievably unprofessional.
Took 3 days and 5 phone calls just to find out if a family member had a pre-paid policy. Office manager claimed she never received any of my messages.
Unprofessional and Discourteous. When my father was dying I had preregistered with the Cremation Society of South Carolina. I had to call seven times to confirm that they had received all the correct paperwork before a person finally got on the phone who could answer my question. I left five phone messages for that one issue and never received a call.
I was promised that everything would be ready when I arrived to collect his ashes but they had not prepared the correct number of death certificates that I’d paid for. Another employee said to the woman helping me “You looked annoyed,” which I considered to be a rude comment considering she was doing her job.
We called 2 days in a row and our name and number was taken and we were told someone would call us back. The second day I specifically asked if someone would be calling because they'd said the same thing the previous day. Never heard from anyone. What a terrible way to handle business at such sensitive times in your customers lives. I guess you don't need the business?
